My name is María-Cecilia Carpio, I am from Cusco, Peru. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the 2nd Grade Homeroom Teacher, teaching Language Art Spanish, Religion, Social Studies and Science in 2nd and 3rd grades
I have just moved from Maryland, where I was living for more than 14 years. My passion is working with children, and I cannot imagine myself in any other job. I also love dancing, singing, cooking, and baking. I have two sons who live in Lima, Peru with my huge family of three brothers and three sisters. Before, I was working for more than seven years at Sacred Heart School in DC, and three years at St. Joseph Regional Catholic School in MD. I was also Catechist for Sunday School at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bethesda, MD for more than twelve years. This is my first year working in Santa Clara of Assisi, and living in Texas, too. This will be a great year for us; we are going to learn from each other, and we will work together in order to prepare the children for the First Communion, what a blessing! I am very excited for this special year at Santa Clara of Assisi. I encourage every child and family to think about their goals, hopes, and dreams for this school year. We will share these visions and work hard to realize them with the Grace of God. In Christ, María-Cecilia Carpio
